Oldenfeld Anniversary 2015 |
Yeoman championship
The might of armies is measured not only in the dignity of those who lead but also in the quality of those who follow. Soldiers of discipline and versatility who swell the ranks and man the line are precious indeed. The Yeoman is such a warrior. Through combined arms and a staunch spirit the Yeoman takes from the enemy far more than they give. If you have what it takes to master the sword and bow then I task you to assemble for the Oldenfeld Yeoman Championship this May 2nd A.S. 50.
Format:
The Competition will be a best-of-three match with round-robin pairing. After the round-robin the best record will prevail. In the case of a tie, head-to-head records will decide the outcome. In case of a three way tie, with head-to-head results reciprocating, then a final match will be a free-for-all sudden-death bout. If more than three warriors take the field then the defending champion, in this case Lord Aesmund De Gardeyn, will demure and Herald the Tourney.
Rules:
Each match will require combatants to have 5 bolts/arrows and a hand-to-hand weapon, and if so desired a shield, of their choice that they are authorized in. During the match combatants may only resort to their hand-to-hand weapons once they have fired all 5 pieces of their ammunition OR if their opponent has fired all 5 pieces of their ammunition. When a combatant has discharged their fifth shot they must loudly declare this so that their opponent can hear. Then they may retreat to their starting point and retrieve their hand-to-hand weapons and engage their opponent. Note, the combatant is not required to switch arms when their opponent discharges their fifth shot if they still have ammunition available.
Any additional rules or clarifications will be made on the field.
